Jewish pop star Pink was one of the many to celebrate the first night of Hanukkah on Thursday, The Jerusalem Post reported.
“Happy Chanukah to all those who celebrate,” the pop star wrote, sharing a video of herself as a child lighting a menorah as a Christmas tree lit the background. “May there be light in darkness always. May there be peace in our hearts, our homes, and in the world.”
According to the Post, there was a negative comment on the photo accusing the star of being tone deaf. Pink reportedly responded to the statement that the Post said “has since been applauded by many social media users,” writing, “tone deaf to be Jewish? Or alive? I’m confused.”
